Why Your Cat Needs to Be Groomed
Self-grooming is not always enough to keep a cat's coat, skin, and health in top shape. Grooming prevents painful matting, which causes pulling on the skin, sores, and infections. Brushing removes dead hair before the cat swallows it, reduces hairballs,
and therefore lowers the risk of uncomfortable digestive
blockages. Regular hands-on grooming checks for hidden
lumps, bumps, skin irritation, or parasites. Overweight,
senior, or arthritic cats often cannot reach all parts of their
bodies. Brushing stimulates the skin and spreads natural
oils evenly, resulting in a healthier, shinier coat.

Getting kittens introduced to grooming at an early age is imperative and makes a huge difference to how they will cope for the rest of their lives when being groomed. The importance of these introductions is to ensure that thier experience is a postive one.
Each treatment will be slowly introduced, allowing the kitten to experience different sounds and smells that are involved in the grooming process. Dependant on the kittens tolerance, the groom will involve a dry treatment or wet bath (short or long coat applies) health check, brush and comb through, nail trim, ears & eye cleanse, leave in conditioner, shine treatment, fragrance spray.
